The Dairy Sheep Association of North America has the Resources and connections you need to become a successful sheep dairy producer and/or processor
We are a small but growing organization made up of sheep dairies, milk processors, dairy sheep researchers, small ruminant nutritionists, veterinarians, academics, and dairy sheep enthusiasts.
Our 12-member board of directors is made up entirely of volunteers, all of whom are currently milking sheep, or who have in the past. We seek to address the specific needs of anyone running a commercial sheep dairy or milking sheep on a farm or homestead.
What do you get when you join DSANA?
Information! And connections. Over the past 25 years, DSANA has collected a treasure trove of dairy sheep resources and has helped its members meet colleagues and experts in the sheep dairying field.
Here is what a $75 membership will give you:
A Listing in our Website Directory
Get noticed! This public directory is accessed by more than 3,000 visitors a year and will connect you to people seeking sheep dairy products, breeding stock, and more.
free access to our virtual symposium & reduced rates on our in-person symposium
Come meet your colleagues. For 25 years, DSANA has been organizing the Dairy Sheep Symposium, a highlight of every year. The event draws expert presenters and a wide range of attendees.
Access to 25 years of symposium proceedings
No more searching for information! Past DSANA symposia have covered such topics as milk processing, flock health, the economics of sheep dairying, new industry technology, and more. We’ve collected written summaries and/or video recordings of nearly every presentation dating back to 1995!
Ability to enroll in our Genetic Evaluation Program (GEP)
Take the guesswork out of choosing replacement stock. The Genetic Evaluation Program helps DSANA members collect and evaluate data that will allow for more targeted decision-making in farm breeding programs.
